Cheyletiella mite

Highly contagious, this mite resembles a flake of moving dandruff

These mites spend all they're lives on the outer surface of the dogs skin. Dogs can be infested by coming in contact with other dogs already infected.

An infected dog will appear to have dandruff, the mite is in fact often called walking dandruff. These mites will also bite humans.
